Based in Wilgeheuwel, Randburg
Maretha graduated as an Occupational Therapist at the University of Pretoria in 2013. She did her Community Service at Helen Joseph Hospital where she was involved in adult rehabilitation that included hand therapy.
In January 2015 she started working in a private hand therapy practice in Springs and Sunward Park. She continued to grow and learn under the guidance of a Certified Hand Therapist. She joined OT Zone in March 2017.
Maretha has attended several hand therapy courses like: Mirror Therapy, Advance Splinting and the Hand Amplified Course. She also obtained her Kinesio Taping Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. She completed her certification as a Lymphoedema and Wound Care Therapist through the International Lymphoedema and Wound Care Training Institute (ILWTI) in 2018. She also completed her Diploma in Hand Therapy through the University of Pretoria in 2019. She was awarded a scholarship to partake in the 2020 PINC International Cancer Rehabilitation Program to is now PINC certified.
